My quilt guild had to move from the small church we have been meeting at since our group has grown so much this past year. We have 60 members now so we needed to find a new place. This church in Westminster has new meeting rooms now that they have this new building. I did this while I was waiting for other members to show up. I was sitting in my car. I just don't know what to do with the roof. At least this is not AS crooked as some of my other sketches. And all those bricks! I would like to see the inside of the church one day. I have heard it is beautiful!

I love those bricks! Nice contrast with the plain roof, better than if you'd done all the roofing.
You might want to turn on word verification; it's really worth stopping that spam!
Thank you Nita...I never thought my little blog would get spam. I turned it on. I guess nothing is safe on the internet!
I love doing churches too and want to start doing more. Love all that brick work. I bet it is beautiful inside judging from your windows.
I also had to turn on my spam guard and seems like everyone has to. Darn spammers!

hi KathyJ =)
I love this sketch of yours. I love the strong but not rigid lines.

I love the way that the lines are not quite straight - please don't start using a ruler as its the slightly off line feel which gives it its character, makes it look like a real place - I love it.
is that st. johns? i haven't seen the entrance, so i cannot be sure. but you mentioned westminster and new church... thought i'd ask.
you've done a good job paying attention to detail; churches are almost always full of them too.
Yes it is St Johns. :-)
